Retakes and review
Five total attempts are included: the initial attempt and four retakes. For managers, an attempt means a complete cycle; retake every examination after 24 hours from the unsuccessful cycle’s final submission. For two-part certifications, five attempts apply independently to each part, with a 24-hour wait after an unsuccessful part; a passed Part A remains valid for Part B retakes during the access period. Single examinations have a 24-hour wait after an unsuccessful submission. Ordinary retakes are unavailable once a part or certification has been passed.
Preparation and resources
Paid preparation materials become available after purchase. The designated development booklet unlocks after the first submitted attempt, whether passed or unsuccessful. Managers and single healthcare examinations open 24 hours after purchase, with an early-readiness declaration available. Confirm that you reviewed the materials and completed required modules and activities before the first attempt. Preparation materials and activity workbooks are distinct from the designated development booklet.
Certificate award and verification
The achievement certificate becomes available after all passing requirements are met, using the existing Catalyst template with a unique certificate number and QR verification. It includes the certification title, issue date and expiry date. The existing validity remains two years from issue, less one day. Learning-completion and CPD certificates remain separate from examination achievement.
Existing entitlements
Configured prices, access durations and additional-pack charges remain unchanged. This update does not recalculate previous results or cancel certificates or purchases. The existing HR Manager retake-pack offer is preserved.
Trainer certification (TOT)
All six levels and their existing rules remain unchanged. Each level has two parts. Part B contains 50 individual application and professional-judgement questions across five topic sections, rather than five shared scenarios. Consult your chosen TOT level’s instructions for its current rules.
How marking works
There is no negative marking or separate domain minimum. Review and change answers before submission or expiry; for scenario-based parts, review is within the current scenario before submitting it. An active attempt is resumed rather than replaced. Questions from the bank may recur across retakes.
